Position Description
This opportunity involves providing specialized nursing care in an Interventional Radiology setting within a dynamic cardiovascular lab. The role requires delivering care to a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatric patients, including both acute inpatients and elective outpatients. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, registered nurses, and radiology technologists to support a variety of advanced interventional procedures.
Responsibilities include assisting with angiograms, peripheral revascularization, vascular access placements and maintenance such as hemodialysis catheters and port placements, pain management interventions, and the care of patients undergoing biopsies across multiple organ systems. Additionally, you will provide essential pre- and post-procedure care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN licensure with experience in Interventional Radiology nursing Proficiency in managing complex vascular access devices and interventional procedures Ability to provide care for a wide age range from adolescent to geriatric patients Familiarity with EMR systems such as Cerner and McKesson Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, with proof required prior to assignment
