Position Description

A healthcare organization in Brooklyn, NY is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Day Program team. This role involves both clinical and case management responsibilities, primarily focused on serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am to 3:30pm
Setting: Day Program

Responsibilities:

Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team, coordinating health care services
Arranging medical services and issuing referrals as needed
Providing follow-up on medical issues and conducting staff training in various health-related areas
Managing communicable diseases through preventive measures and staff training
Participating in team meetings, conducting reviews, and maintaining documentation

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in community-based health services
Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing
License and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
CPR certification
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality

Desired Skills:

Experience in the field of developmental disabilities
Knowledge of adaptive devices and equipment used by persons receiving services
