Job description

PRINE Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have credentials in CNN-NP and a passion for providing exceptional care to patients with kidney-related conditions.

CORE COMPETENCIES/SKILLS NEEDED

  • Advanced knowledge in nephrology that includes pathophysiology and management of kidney/urologic conditions and their complications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of patients and their families as they deal with chronic renal disease and its impact.
  • Educate patients and their families about kidney health, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on the renal system.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as renal ultrasounds, kidney function tests, and urinalysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on test results.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Implement strategies to decrease the risk of further kidney damage and preserve renal function.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
  • Certification as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (ANNA) or (CNN-NP) 
  • Valid and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Strong knowledge of renal pathophysiology and treatment.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex diagnostic tests and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
